Dr. Karimzada is newly appointed as an assistant professor at the University of Northern British Columbia, bringing a wealth of academic experience and expertise to the School of Business and Economics. Before joining UNBC, Dr. Karimzada taught a number of economics courses at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Karimzada specializes in macroeconomics, with a particular focus on business cycles and the housing market. His research explores the dynamics of economic fluctuations, the interplay between housing markets and broader economic conditions, and the policy implications of these relationships.
At UNBC, Dr. Karimzada is committed to fostering an engaging and rigorous learning environment, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic community.
Dr. Karimzada obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from McMaster University in 2023.
