Dr. Farnaz Gooya
Senior Lab Instructor - Health Science

Dr. Gooya is an International Medical Graduate, IMG, and a trained physician who successfully practiced medicine for 15 years as a general practitioner. Highly interested in medical education, especially teaching health sciences fundamental courses, she joined UNBC in Sept 2023 as a senior lab instructor, SLI. She teaches physiology and anatomy labs in the Health Sciences school and participates in lecturing related courses.

By lecturing and sharing clinical points while running physiology and anatomy lab experiments, on one hand she starts a smooth transition from theory to clinic for her students who are interested in continuing a clinical pathway and on the other hand, she trains her students to be hard working, detail oriented, organized, self-confident, and interested researchers. They learn how to follow the experimental guidelines, perform the experiments with non-invasive physiology and anatomy kits and interpret them scientifically via accredited academic and scientific references.
